This armour is made with a special stitching style called “Cross-Stitch“ in Japan. The vertical stitches are reinforced by horizontal stitches (see pictures). This stitching style has two advantages: The armour can keep its shape better regardless of the conditions in which it is worn and it is more flexible. The fabric can be moulded in every possible way, which guarantees optimal comfort during training. It is not surprising that Japanese Kendoka and sensei prefer this armour. With a weight of only 4.6 kg it is also a light armour.

The price includes a Men, a Do, a Tare, a pair of Kote, and a set of Himo.

Orizashi cross-stitch Men; This Men is made from indigo tinted Clarino Japanese leather and cotton. The Mengane is made of Duralumine. The sidebands have been made following the Naname technique: the diagonal stitches intersect with the vertical stitches, making them more solid and stable on the impact zones, while being thin and soft. With a weight of 1 kg, this Men is much lighter than the 2 mm Men.

Orizashi Kote cross stitch; This Kote is made of indigo dyed cotton. The palm is made of Japanese deer leather, the padding is a mixture of deer wool and cotton to ensure perfect protection. The stitches are “cross-stitch“, allowing increased flexibility on the wrist. The target areas are also padded. The palm is made of Japanese deerskin.

Do Deluxe Bamboo optic: The Do, made from black plastic, has a bamboo look. The outlines have a leather finish. The inside as well as as the outside of the plastron are made of high quality ox leather. The Mune is embroidered and decorated with an embellishment. The leather part is hand-stitched. The back also looks like a bamboo Do.

Orizashi cross-stitch Tare: This Tare is made of indigo tinted leather and cotton. The contours are strengthened with Clarino Japanese leather. The “crossstitch“ seam combines flexibility and stability, guarantees a comfortable wear and an also an impeccable appearance. Like all other parts of the “cross-stitch“ armour, this Tare is also lighter than a normal Tare.
