This armour has been made by favouring a special stitching style called "CROSS-STITCH" in Japan. The vertical stitches are strengthened by horizontal stitches (see pictures) which allows the armour not to lose its shape in whatever conditions it is submitted to. This type of cross-stitching gives the material an increased flexibility. The fabric can be folded in every possible way, which guarantees in this way an optimal comfort during the wearing of the armour. It is therefore not surprizing that this armour is the one that the Japanese Kendoka and Sensei prefer.
With a weight of 4.6 kg, this armour line up among the light armour.
The price includes a Men, a Do, a Tare, a pair of Kote, a Tenugui and a Himo set.
Men "CROSS-STITCH" extra light: This Men is made from Clarino Japanese leather indigo tinted and cotton. The Mengane is in Duralumine.
The sidebands have been made following the Naname technique: the diagonal stitches intersect with the vertical stitches, making them more solid and stable on the impact zones, while being thin and soft. With a weight of 1 kg, this Men is much lighter than the 2 mm Men.
The "CROSS-STITCH" Kote are incomparably light: Made with Clarino Japanese leather indigo tinted and cotton, the palm is made in Japanese deer leather and the padding with a mixture of deer wool and cotton, ensuring a perfect protection. Here too, the stitches are "cross-stitch" resulting in an increased flexibility of the glove on the wrist. The points of impact are also padded.

Tare "CROSS-STITCH" custom-made, extra light: This Tare is made with indigo tinted leather and cotton. The contours are strengthened with Clarino Japanese leather. The "cross-pitch" seam combining flexibility and stability of the material, guarantees a comfortable wear and an impeccable appearance. Like all other parts of the "cross-pitch" armour, this Tare is also lighter than the normal Tare.
